Psychosexual Evaluations

Psychosexual evaluations are a risk assessment tool for cases involving sexual allegations and are often utilized by courts, prosecutors, and defense attorneys to provide a scientific basis to estimate sexual recidivism. Most fundamentally, the psychosexual examination evaluates sexual interests to see if there is a deviation from generally accepted sexual behavior, which could be considered abnormal, and if acted-upon, illegal. Using a combination of direct examinations and state of the art psychometric testing, the psychologists and psychiatrists at FAF conduct careful risk analyses and dangerousness assessments for a wide range of clients and cases, from federal child pornography cases to Article 10 evaluations for both the prosecution and defense.
