Violence Risk Assessment

Violence risk assessment attempts to estimate the likelihood of future violent behavior posed by an individual and involves the sophisticated analysis of both static and dynamic risk and protective factors. Often, violence risk assessment plays a crucial role in risk-management in the community and guides proper clinical interventions and decisions. Through the integration of structured clinical interviews, psychological assessment, the use of actuarial rating scales, collateral interviews, and record reviews, the clinicians at FAF are skilled at assessing and stratifying the risk of future dangerousness and recidivism.
